Standard: ISO 286-2 · EN 10278 (bright bar tolerances)
Bright bars are ordered to an ISO tolerance class. An "h" tolerance means the bar is never over the nominal size: the upper deviation is zero and the lower deviation is the figure shown. The usual classes for stainless bright bar are h9 for cold-drawn rounds, hexagons and squares, h10–h11 for peeled (turned) rounds, h11 for large drawn sizes, and h6–h8 for centreless-ground bars for shafts and pump spindles.
EN 10278 sets which classes are available for each kind of bright product; ISO 286-2 gives the values.
