Tinplate, TFS & blackplate · Size & tolerance table

Tinplate temper grades: EN 10202, ASTM A623 and JIS G3303

Standard: EN 10202 · ASTM A623/A623M · JIS G3303 formerly EN 10203 (T50–T65 designations)

Temper describes the hardness and strength of tinplate and blackplate, which decide how a sheet can be formed. ASTM and JIS still grade single-reduced plate by a Rockwell HR30T temper number (T-1 softest to T-5) and double-reduced plate by DR numbers; EN 10202 grades by proof strength — TS for the softer grades and TH for the harder ones, with the number the nominal proof strength in MPa.

The equivalents are approximate: the standards test different properties, so the same plate may not meet both.
