Vallourec to sell mechanized welding unit to Aldebaran

Vallourec, a global leader in premium seamless tubular solutions, has entered exclusive negotiations with French investment firm Aldebaran for the sale of its subsidiary, Serimax, which specializes in mechanized welding solutions. The transaction is valued at EUR 79 mln (USD 89.7 mln).

The sale is expected to close in the coming months, pending employee consultations, regulatory approvals, and other customary conditions.

This move aligns with Vallourec's strategy to streamline operations and focus on its core business of seamless tubular solutions. Following a rapid transformation, Serimax is now a profitable standalone entity. Aldebaran's acquisition will support Serimax in pursuing its ambitious growth plans.
