Stegra selects logistics partners in Germany, Belgium and UK

Stegra has selected three logistics partners in Germany, Belgium and the UK to support deliveries from its operations in northern Sweden to customers across Europe.

Haeger & Schmidt Logistics (HSL), based in Duisburg, Germany, will coordinate transport from the port of Antwerp to inland European markets, including through its own Duisburg terminal. The company provides multimodal transport by barge, truck and rail, alongside steel logistics and supply-chain services.

PSA Breakbulk in Antwerp will handle steel, metals, breakbulk and project cargo. Its terminal offers access to short-sea and deep-sea shipping, as well as barge, rail and road connections, with specialized equipment for handling steel coils.

In the UK, Hull-based TST - Thor Shortsea & Terminals will provide steel handling, warehousing and transport services. The company combines terminal operations and freight forwarding with multimodal transport capabilities across the UK.

Stegra said the three partners provide access to key industrial regions and customer clusters, strengthening the flexibility and reach of its European supply chain.

The company is continuing to expand its logistics network. In Sweden, it has agreements with the ports of Lulea, Skelleftea and Umea for inbound and outbound shipments.

Stegra is developing an integrated near-zero emission steel plant in Boden, northern Sweden, based on hydrogen-powered direct reduced iron (DRI) and electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaking.
