Electrical Industries to build power transformer tanks and radiators plant

Electrical Industries Co. (EIC) has approved a SAR 150 mln (USD 40 mln) project to establish a plant manufacturing tanks and radiators for medium-, high- and extra-high-voltage power transformers in Saudi Arabia.

The facility will be the first of its kind in the country, supporting EIC's strategy to diversify its product portfolio, localize strategic industries and strengthen local content.

Construction is scheduled to begin in Q1 2027, with completion expected in Q1 2029. Trial production is planned for Q2 2029, followed by commercial production in Q3 2029.
