Welspun Corp secures major US pipeline order

India's Welspun Corp has secured an order worth approximately INR 55 bln (USD 579 mln) through its US subsidiary, Welspun Tubular LLC, to supply coated line pipes for a natural gas pipeline project in the Permian region of the US.

The order was placed by a major midstream company for a pipeline serving a data centre complex operated by a leading global hyperscaler. The project links natural gas transmission infrastructure with growing demand from AI-led data centre expansion.

The order will be executed at Welspun's US facility during FY 2028-29. Following the award, the company's global order book reached a record USD 5.25 bln.
