Vardhman Special Steels to install advanced in-line profile measuring system

India's Vardhman Special Steels has collaborated with Kocks to order the country's first 4D EAGLE S profile measuring system.

Introduced in April 2024, the 4D EAGLE S is an advanced in-line profile measuring gauge designed for precise, real-time measurement of rolled special bars in the 16-100 mm dimensional range. The system will be installed behind Vardhman's soon-to-be-commissioned Kocks Reducing & Sizing Block (RSB), ensuring enhanced accuracy as bars move onto the cooling bed.

This partnership builds on a commitment made at METEC 2023 in Dusseldorf, Germany, where Vardhman pledged to integrate the cutting-edge RSB 370++/4 in its Ludhiana rolling mill. The addition of the 4D EAGLE S underscores the shared dedication of Vardhman and Kocks to achieving exceptional quality standards.
