Aisha Steel announces senior management changes

Pakistan's Aisha Steel Mills has appointed Kashif Habib as its chief executive officer, effective November 1, replacing Dr. Munir Ahmed, according to company filings with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

Habib is currently chief executive of Power Cement and a non-executive director of Aisha Steel. He has previously held executive positions within the Arif Habib Group's cement and fertilizer businesses.

The company has also announced a change in its finance leadership, with Ali Hassan ceasing to serve as chief financial officer. Muhammad Adeel Paracha has been appointed as the new CFO.

Dr. Munir Ahmed had led Aisha Steel since October 2014 and served as CEO for more than 12 years. He is a metallurgical engineer and previously held senior operational and management positions at Peoples Steel Mills.

Aisha Steel Mills, part of Pakistan's Arif Habib Group, operates a cold rolling and hot-dip galvanized steel complex with annual production capacity of around 700,000 tons.
