3.5 million tons of steel were produced by Iranian steel mills |
| Some 3.5 million tons of steel were produced
by Iranian steel mills in the first half of the year (started March 21),
showing a nine-percent growth compared to the same period last year. The Public Relations Department at National Iranian Steel Company (NISC) said the total amount of steel produced at the complex stood at 2.8 million tons in the first half of the year. It said that of the total steel production, Isfahan Steel Mill produced 1.1 million tons, Mobarakeh Steel Complex 1.5 million tons, Khouzestan Steel Complex 830,000 tons, National Steel Production Group 49,000 tons and Steel Alloy Plant 12,000 tons. Moreover, in the said period, Kavian Steel Complex produced 175,000 tons and Azerbaijan Steel Complex 25,000 tons of steel. |
